Bhubaneswar, May 23 -- Showcasing Odisha's growing stature as a national model in biodiversity conservation through initiatives such as tiger protection in Similipal Tiger Reserve, safeguarding elephant corridors, crocodile breeding in Bhitarkanika National Park, Olive Ridley turtle conservation, mangrove restoration, community forest protection and large-scale afforestation, the Odisha Biodiversity Board today celebrated the state-level International Day for Biological Diversity at the State Convention Centre in Lok Seva Bhawan here.
The theme of this year's celebration was "Local Action for Global Impact," underscoring the importance of grassroots conservation efforts in addressing global environmental challenges.
