Bhubaneswar, Oct. 15 -- Odisha Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Suresh Pujari on Thursday directed officials to ensure that all pending compensation payments to flood-affected people in the state are disbursed within the next 72 hours.
The direction came during a review meeting chaired by Pujari to assess the final extent of flood damage in the state this year and the progress of compensation disbursement and restoration work in affected areas.
The minister interacted with senior departmental officials and district Collectors to take stock of relief and rehabilitation measures and the delivery of financial assistance to affected families.
