Bhubaneswar, June 17 -- : In a significant step towards women's empowerment and accelerating the adoption of clean energy, Odisha's first batch of 29 women trained as "Solar Didis" has successfully completed specialised training under the PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana, creating a new cadre of grassroots ambassadors for rooftop solar adoption.
The women representatives, selected from Self Help Groups (SHGs) under the Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana-National Urban Livelihoods Mission (DAY-NULM) by the Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC), underwent training under the Solar Didi Initiative.
