Bhubaneswar, June 19 -- Odisha's innovative digital sanitation governance model has earned international recognition, with the Odisha Water Supply and Sewerage Board (OWSSB) selected to mentor Nigeria's Lagos State Wastewater Management Office (LSWMO) under a prestigious UN-Habitat-supported global initiative.
The partnership, scheduled for implementation over five years from 2026 to 2030, is being facilitated through the Global Water Operators' Partnerships Alliance (GWOPA). It aims to strengthen sanitation service delivery in Lagos State through the adoption of Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) and data-driven governance systems.
