Bhubaneswar, April 18 -- The Odisha government has drawn up a comprehensive heatwave action plan aimed at safeguarding passengers and transport workers along National Highway-49, a key and busy transport corridor.

The roadmap was finalised during a high-level virtual coordination meeting chaired by Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Suresh Pujari on Saturday.

The Minister directed officials to implement targeted interventions in Jharsuguda district of Odisha and adjoining Raigarh district of Chhattisgarh.
