Bhubaneswar, Aug. 27 -- Odisha Police conducted a special night enforcement drive in Bhubaneswar and Cuttack on Wednesday night, targeting drunken driving, illicit liquor, modified silencers, anti-social activities and other traffic violations.
The drive, held on the directions of the DGP, was part of the force's broader focus on women's safety, crime prevention, dismantling organised crime syndicates and sustained action against drugs and illicit liquor.
As many as 336 Cadet Sub-Inspectors were deployed for field enforcement and practical exposure to policing operations. Intensified night patrolling, checking and enforcement were carried out across the two cities.
