Bhubaneswar, June 8 -- In a major crackdown on illegal gambling activities, Rourkela Police have unearthed an interstate gambling racket operating from Luakera village near the Odisha-Jharkhand border and arrested two persons allegedly involved in the network.
The accused have been identified as Bahan Kansari (48) and Dilip Kansari (59), both residents of Luakera village under the jurisdiction of Sector-15 Police Station in Rourkela.
Acting on credible intelligence regarding regular gambling operations in the village, police conducted a well-planned raid with the support of a large contingent of officers led by senior police officials.
