Bhubaneswar, March 31 -- In the aftermath of the tragic March 16 fire at SCB Hospital in Cuttack, which claimed 13 lives, a delegation of united opposition parties in Odisha on Tuesday demanded the immediate dismissal of the state Health Minister and the arrest of all officials responsible, including the hospital superintendent. The opposition submitted a memorandum to Odisha Governor Hari Babu Kumbhampati, calling for strict action against those accountable for the devastating incident.
The memorandum described the fire as a gross case of manslaughter and demanded an urgent judicial investigation led by a High Court judge, with a report to be published promptly.
