Bhubaneswar, Dec. 31 -- In a significant step toward environmental monitoring, the Odisha State Pollution Control Board (SPCB), in collaboration with the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bhubaneswar, on Wednesday launched a mobile application to track and monitor fly ash transportation across the state in real time.
The app was officially unveiled by Chief Secretary and Board Chairman Manoj Ahuja during the handing over of charge to the new Chief Secretary, Anu Garg.
Initially tested in the field, the application will be implemented immediately in four power plants: Aditya Aluminum, Lapanga; JSW Bhushan Ltd, Thelkoloi; Vedanta Ltd, Jharsuguda; and Odisha Power Generation Corporation (OPGC), Banharpali. The rollout will gradually exten...
