Bhubaneswar, Jan. 7 -- Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Wednesday launched the Godabarish Mishra Model Primary School Scheme, a major initiative aimed at strengthening the foundation of students' learning across Odisha.
The Chief Minister laid the foundation stones for 118 model primary schools in 30 districts under the state-level scheme at Banpur.
Announcing the roadmap, Majhi said that in the first phase, 2,200 model primary schools would be established in gram panchayats across the state over the next four years, with an estimated expenditure of Rs 12,000 crore.
