Bhubaneswar, Feb. 19 -- The Odisha government has identified 14 sites for the development of non-major ports in the state, Commerce and Transport Minister Bibhuti Bhushan Jena informed the State Assembly on Thursday.
In a written reply to MLA Manas Kumar Dutta, the Minister said that of the 14 sites, two-Dhamra and Gopalpur-are already operational.
The land acquisition process is currently underway for two additional ports at the Subarnarekha mouth and Astarang. The development of these non-major ports is being pursued through a public-private partnership (PPP) model.
