Bhubaneswar, July 2 -- Facing widespread criticism over a series of errors in the newly-introduced school textbooks, the Odisha Government on Wednesday announced that it will replace the flawed books with revised, error-free editions for all students studying in Classes 1 to 8.
Addressing the media, School & Mass Education Department Secretary N. Thirumala Naik said the State Government has decided to provide completely error-free textbooks to students at the earliest after several mistakes were identified in the books introduced for the 2026-27 academic session.
