Bhubaneswar, June 17 -- With just a month left for the annual Rath Yatra, the Odisha government stepped up preparations for the grand festival, with Chief Secretary Anu Garg directing all departments to complete infrastructure and service-related works by June 30to ensure the smooth and safe conduct of the annual festival scheduled for July 16.
Chairing a high-level meeting at Lok Seva Bhawan on Tuesday, Garg stressed the need for timely execution of projects, regular monitoring and close coordination among departments to facilitate the movement of lakhs of devotees expected to attend the world-famous festival.
