Bhubaneswar, Oct. 28 -- The Odisha Government has relocated over 1,000 pregnant women from vulnerable areas in eight districts likely to be affected by Cyclone Montha, ensuring uninterrupted maternal care and safety.
The Health and Family Welfare Department has made comprehensive preparations to handle the cyclone's impact.
Principal Secretary Ashwathi S. reviewed the readiness of district hospitals, medical colleges, and health institutions through video conferencing with senior officials.
The review confirmed that final preparedness is complete in Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Gajapati, Ganjam, Kalahandi, Nabarangpur, and Kandhamal-the districts under red warning-as well as others under IMD's orange and yellow alerts.
