Bhubaneswar, June 26 -- Against the backdrop of recent fatal fire incidents in Delhi and Lucknow, Odisha Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr. Mukesh Mahaling on Thursday conducted a comprehensive review of fire safety arrangements across government-run healthcare institutions in the state.
Chairing a high-level meeting, Dr. Mahaling assessed the status of fire safety infrastructure in government medical colleges and hospitals, district headquarters hospitals and other healthcare establishments.
The review focused on the adequacy of existing safety measures, areas requiring improvement and compliance with previous directives issued by the Health Department.
