Bhubaneswar, Oct. 16 -- Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC) president Bhakta Charan Das on Friday urged the Odisha government to take immediate legal and administrative measures to get Andhra Pradesh's notification for panchayat elections in the Kotia region cancelled, alleging that the move challenged Odisha's territorial integrity.
In a statement, Das alleged that Andhra Pradesh had repeatedly interfered in the Kotia region, disrupting Odisha's administrative system. He expressed concern that the state government had failed to respond adequately to the developments despite the region being part of Odisha.
