Bhubaneswar, July 18 -- Odisha Governor Hari Babu Kambhampati on Saturday underscored the need to strengthen skill development and create sustainable employment opportunities for hearing-impaired girls, urging organisations to link them with the state's expanding industrial sector.
The Governor made the remarks while interacting with around 50 members of the SEVA Foundation, Keonjhar, including hearing-impaired girls and persons with physical disabilities, at Abhisek Hall in Lok Bhavan.
During the interaction, representatives of the foundation informed the Governor that the girls are receiving vocational training in tailoring and handicrafts to help them become self-reliant.
