Bhubaneswar, Sept. 3 -- The flood situation in Odisha showed signs of gradual improvement on Thursday, with water levels in major rivers receding and rainfall activity declining significantly, official sources said.

The overall situation remained under control, while the State Government continued round-the-clock monitoring in coordination with district administrations. Relief, rescue, response and restoration measures remained underway in the affected areas.

According to the latest reports, Jajpur, Mayurbhanj and Baleshwar continued to remain affected by flooding.
