Kendrapara, May 21 -- Odisha Tourism Secretary Balwant Singh on Thursday visited Bhitarkanika National Park to review infrastructure and assess the potential for eco-tourism development in the ecologically sensitive mangrove region.
Accompanied by Divisional Forest Officer of Rajnagar Mangrove Forest Division Vardaraj Gaonkar, Assistant Conservator of Forests Manas Kumar Patra, Rajnagar Tehsildar Jisu Krishna Das and land acquisition officials, Singh inspected several entry points to the national park.
The team visited Aradi, Chandbali, Jaynagar, Khola, Gupti, Dangamala, Talachua, Nalitapatia and Kasturikan to examine the availability of government land for tourism-related infrastructure and visitor facilities.
