Bhubaneswar, June 4 -- : Odisha Director General of Police (DGP) Y.B. Khurania on Thursday announced a series of initiatives to modernise and strengthen the state's coastal security infrastructure, including the induction of new Fast Interceptor Boats, anti-drone systems and advanced surveillance mechanisms.

Addressing the inaugural session of the "State-Level Coastal Security Seminar-2026", organised by the Coastal Security Wing of Odisha Police, Khurania said ten new Fast Interceptor Boats, additional trawlers, mini control centres, CCTV surveillance systems at fishing harbours and fish landing centres, modular jetties and modern anti-drone systems would be introduced in the coming days.
