Bhubaneswar, May 19 -- The Odisha Congress on Tuesday demanded that the Centre and the State government announce a definite date for the commencement of the proposed Chandikhol crude oil storage project, alleging that the project has remained stalled for over a decade despite repeated promises by the Narendra Modi government.
Addressing a press conference, senior Congress spokesperson and research analyst Jagadananda Pradhan said the project, originally conceived during the UPA government led by former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh, has been repeatedly used as an electoral issue without any tangible progress on the ground.
