Bhubaneswar, Aug. 29 -- Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Saturday unveiled a blueprint for smart policing and laid down a 10-point roadmap for the police department, with emphasis on citizen-friendly policing, zero tolerance towards organised crime and violence against women, and a crackdown on forced extortion and the illegal drug trade.
Addressing the State-level DGP and IGP Conference at the State Police Headquarters here, Majhi reviewed law and order, internal security, cyber security and the future policing system in Odisha. He said the government would provide all necessary resources, funds and administrative support for implementing police reforms.
