Bhubaneswar, Jan. 6 -- Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Tuesday strongly criticised opposition parties for spreading misinformation and portraying the VBG RAM-G Bill as anti-farmer and anti-poor.
Addressing the media at the party office here, the Chief Minister said that large-scale corruption had surfaced under the MGNREGA scheme in several states and that it had failed to provide adequate employment to people.
He alleged that while Mahatma Gandhi's name was retained in MGNREGA, there was no change in its basic structure, and the Opposition used Gandhi's name merely for political gain.
