Bhubaneswar, March 30 -- Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Monday directed district collectors to actively monitor market conditions and take stringent action against black marketing, illegal hoarding, and unwarranted price hikes of essential commodities.

The Chief Minister issued the instructions during a video conference with district collectors, focusing on the supply of essential items in the state amid the ongoing crisis in West Asia.

He urged district-level enforcement squads to remain in 24-hour action mode to prevent exploitation of consumers.
