Bhubaneswar, Sept. 17 -- Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Thursday launched the month-long 'Seva Sankalpa Abhiyan' and urged the youth to dedicate time to social service and nation-building.
Marking the launch, Majhi participated in a mega blood donation camp organised at the IDCO Exhibition Ground in Unit-III here and said blood donation was a noble expression of humanity that could help save precious lives.
"Even with advances in science, there is no substitute for blood and it cannot be manufactured in any factory," he said, adding that the experience of helping save a life through blood donation reflected the highest human values.
