Bhubaneswar, April 7 -- Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has urged mining leaseholders and industrialists to increase iron ore production in the state in response to the growing demand for the mineral across the country.

Chairing a high-level meeting with key stakeholders, the Chief Minister emphasized the need to enhance both production and dispatch while adhering to the minimum mandatory limits under the Mine Development and Production Agreement (MDPA).

He assured industry representatives that the state government would extend full support to facilitate increased output.

Majhi also encouraged industrialists to set up more industries in mining-rich districts, noting that industrial presence in these areas remains relatively low....
