Bhubaneswar, Aug. 31 -- Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Monday announced a special package of Rs 560 crore for infrastructure development in 28 newly formed Notified Area Councils (NACs) across the state.
Under the package, each of the 28 NACs will receive Rs 20 crore for taking up development works, including construction and improvement of roads, drains, markets and other essential urban infrastructure.
Addressing the State-level celebration of Local Self-Government Day-2026 in Bhubaneswar, the Chief Minister also launched 593 development projects worth Rs 323 crore for 62 urban local bodies under the Mukhyamantri Shahari Bikash Yojana.
