Bhubaneswar, Dec. 25 -- Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Thursday announced risk allowances for Special Operation Group (SOG) personnel and other security forces engaged in anti-Naxal operations in the state.

The Chief Minister said that starting from December, officers of the SOG directly deployed in anti-Naxal operations will receive a maximum monthly risk allowance of Rs. 25,000.

SOG Subedars and Deputy Subedars will be eligible for Rs. 24,000 per month, Havildars Rs. 20,000, and Constables and Sepoys Rs. 16,000.

Personnel of the SOG, Anti-Extremist Teams (AET), and Regional Companies (RC) who are not directly involved in operations but are engaged in training and other duties will receive allowances of up to Rs. 12,000 per...
