Bhubaneswar, Sept. 11 -- Odisha on Friday initiated steps to develop an investment-ready pipeline of small hydro power projects by bringing policymakers, project developers, financiers and sector experts together to accelerate implementation of the Centre's Small Hydro Power Development Scheme.
The Energy Department of the Odisha government and GRIDCO Limited, in association with knowledge partner iFOREST, organised a high-level stakeholder dialogue here to discuss implementation of the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy's (MNRE) Small Hydro Power Development Scheme for 2026-27 to 2030-31.
The dialogue focused on translating the scheme's policy provisions into a concrete pipeline of bankable small hydro projects in the state.
