Bhubaneswar, July 1 -- Odisha cabinet on Wednesday approved a major infrastructure project to upgrade the Jaydev Vihar-Nandankanan Road stretch in Bhubaneswar, aiming to transform it into a high-capacity urban transport corridor with flyovers, service roads, and improved safety features.
The Works Department has cleared the improvement of a 9.5 km stretch from Kalinga Stadium Gate No. 4 to Raghunathpur Bridge.
The project will expand the existing 6-lane road into an 8-lane corridor and include multiple flyovers at key junctions such as Jaydev Vihar, Kalinga Hospital Square, Damana Square, and KIIT Square.
