Bhubaneswar, Aug. 12 -- In a major push to accelerate renewable energy development and attract greater clean energy investments, the Odisha Cabinet on Wednesday approved amendments to certain provisions of the Odisha Renewable Energy Policy (OREP), 2022.
The decision was taken at a Cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi. The Cabinet approved the Energy Department's proposal to amend provisions of OREP-2022 with the objective of speeding up renewable energy development, enhancing investor confidence and ensuring affordable green power for consumers in the state.
