Bhubaneswar, Aug. 22 -- The BJP State unit on Saturday hit back at the Opposition over its criticism of the proposed amendments to the Mines and Minerals (Development and Regulation) Act, asserting that the changes would strengthen the State's mining sector, attract investment and boost revenue.
BJP state general secretary Biranchi Narayan Tripathy accused the Opposition of misleading people with "false information" and said the amendments would create greater opportunities for industrial growth, employment and revenue generation in Odisha.
