Bhubaneswar, June 12 -- Odisha BJP on Thursday alleged that the disappearance of the Commission of Inquiry report into the murder of Hindu leader Swami Laxmanananda Saraswati from the previous Chief Minister's Office (CMO), was part of a larger and well-planned conspiracy to suppress the truth behind the killing.

Addressing a press conference at the party's state headquarters here, BJP State General Secretary Biranchi Narayan Tripathy said Swami Laxmanananda Saraswati, who had dedicated over four decades of service to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes in Kandhamal and earned widespread respect across Odisha, was killed on August 23, 2008, on the occasion of Janmashtami.
