Bhubaneswar, Aug. 15 -- The Odisha unit of the BJP on Saturday lodged a complaint at the Capital Police Station in Bhubaneswar, seeking exemplary action against BJD Rajya Sabha MP Sulata Deo for allegedly making derogatory remarks about the tricolour and BJP national president and Rajya Sabha MP Nitin Nabin.

A BJP delegation alleged that Deo violated provisions of the Flag Code through her remarks in connection with a Tiranga programme organised at Nabin's residence on the occasion of Independence Day.

It further alleged that she later posted an objectionable comment about the programme on social media.
