Bhubaneswar, Sept. 23 -- The Odisha Assembly was adjourned till 4 PM on Wednesday, the second consecutive day of the Monsoon Session, as Opposition BJD and Congress members disrupted proceedings over the MMDR Act amendment and alleged errors in school textbooks.
Deputy Speaker Bhavani Shankar Bhoi adjourned the House at 1037 hours after repeated attempts to restore order failed, with the Opposition members staging protests in the well and raising slogans over their respective demands.
The disruption meant that the Question Hour, Zero Hour and adjournment motion could not be taken up for the second consecutive day.
