Bhubaneswar, July 23 -- Odisha has set its sights on emerging as one of India's top five economies, with the state leveraging its growing industrial momentum after securing a place among the country's five most investment-friendly states in the NITI Aayog Investment Friendliness Index 2026, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi said .

Addressing industrialists, industry representatives and office-bearers of various industry associations who felicitated him on the achievement, Majhi said the state's ambition extends beyond becoming a leading industrial destination to securing a place among the country's top five states in overall economic growth.
