Kendrapada, Aug. 12 -- Kendrapada police have apprehended two persons and launched a manhunt to arrest the remaining suspects in connection with the alleged gang rape of a woman under Nischintakoili police station jurisdiction on Tuesday night.
According to police, the woman was travelling with a male friend from Bhubaneswar to Kendrapada when their car was waylaid near Sukarpada petrol pump on the Cuttack-Chandbali Road.
The woman and her friend were reportedly inside the car when a group of youths, allegedly under the influence of alcohol, asked them to come out. When they refused to open the doors, the accused allegedly smashed one of the car windows with a tong and forcibly dragged the woman out of the vehicle.
