Kendrapara, March 19 -- In a significant judgment under the POCSO Act, the court of the Additional District & Sessions Judge-cum-Special Judge, Prangya Parmita Raul, has convicted a married man and sentenced him to 20 years of rigorous imprisonment (RI) along with a fine of Rs 51,000 for raping a 14-year-old girl.
The convict, identified as Pitambar Malik of Bachhara village under Pattamundai Model Police Station limits, was found guilty after a detailed trial, according to Special Public Prosecutor Nehur Kumar Sahu.
