Bhubaneswar, Nov. 11 -- The Nuapada Assembly by-poll in Odisha witnessed a record voter turnout of 78.48 percent, according to data released by the Election Commission of India (ECI).

Polling began at 7 a.m. across 358 booths and continued peacefully until 5 p.m., CEO office sources said.

All helicopters carrying polling personnel have returned safely, and polling was successfully concluded at all 165 polling stations.
