Bhubaneswar, May 2 -- A Vigilance court in Odisha has convicted three retired government officials of Keonjhar district for misappropriation of government rice meant for public welfare schemes around 23 years back and sentenced them to under 2-year rigorous imprisonment, officials said today.
The Special Judge, Vigilance, Keonjhar, convicted Gangadhar Naik, former Welfare Extension Officer (retired), Ramesh Chandra Sethy, former Fishery Extension Officer (retired), and Srikanta Sethy, former Progressive Assistant (retired), all from Hatadihi block.
