Bhubaneswar, May 12 -- The Legal Aid Clinic of the SOA National Institute of Law (SNIL), faculty of legal studies of Siksha 'O' Anusandhan (SOA) Deemed to be University here, organised a two-day legal awareness camp for members of the transgender community.
Around 100 members of the transgender community participated in the programme, which was conducted under the guidance of Dean S. A. K. Azad. Thirty student volunteers and members of the Legal Aid Society also took part in the initiative.
The first phase of the camp was held at Damana in Bhubaneswar on April 26 in collaboration with Sakhi Foundation, a community-based organisation.
