Bhubaneswar, June 6 -- Emphasising the need to reduce dependence on chemical fertilisers and promote sustainable agriculture, the ICAR-Central Institute of Freshwater Aquaculture (CIFA) today organised an awareness programme for women farmers from Scheduled Caste communities in Odisha's Khordha district.

The programme, held under the 'Mera Gaon Mera Gaurav' (MGMG) initiative, focused on the use of biofertilizers and Azolla in vegetable and crop production as eco-friendly alternatives to chemical inputs.
