Bhubaneswar, Feb. 21 -- The Odisha police today arrested 146 cybercriminals on the 9th day of ongoing 'Operation Cyber Kavach' drive launched to intensify crackdown on cybercriminals, said officials.
While as many as 2,067 Mule (Benami) Bank Accounts were verified, 146 scammers were taken into custody after prima facie evidence was found against them under relevant sections of Information Technology Act.
The drive is being undertaken by District Cyber Crime Units under the direct supervision of respective Superintendents of Police and Deputy Commissioners of Police.
