Bhubaneswar, April 17 -- The East Coast Railway (ECoR) has registered notable progress across key operational areas during the financial year 2025-26, including infrastructure development, safety, speed enhancement, and passenger amenities, underscoring its commitment to a safer, more efficient, and passenger-centric railway network.

According to ECoR sources, passenger amenities witnessed substantial improvement across the zone. Concrete surfacing was completed on 73 platforms, while 69 high-level platforms were constructed to facilitate safer and more convenient boarding. Shelter extensions were carried out at 38 stations, and more than 1,073 benches were installed to enhance passenger comfort.
