Bhubaneswar, Sept. 12 -- East Coast Railway General Manager Parameswar Funkwal on Saturday reviewed the Singapur Road-Koraput railway doubling project, including major engineering works, during an inspection of the Rayagada-Koraput-Jeypore section.
The doubling project is aimed at increasing line capacity, facilitating smoother train operations and strengthening rail connectivity in southern Odisha.
Funkwal undertook a window-trailing inspection from Rayagada to Jeypore and reviewed the track, signalling and operational arrangements along the route.
