Bhubaneswar, Nov. 6 -- The Opposition Biju Janata Dal (BJD) on Friday accused the BJP government of gross negligence in safeguarding tribal girl students in residential schools after a Class X student staying at a Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya in Mayurbhanj district delivered a baby.
Addressing a press conference at the party headquarters, BJD Tribal Cell president and former minister Sudam Marandi and former Deputy Speaker Saluga Pradhan alleged that the incident exposed serious lapses in hostel management and monitoring.
