Bhubaneswar, July 16 -- The Biju Janata Dal (BJD) stepped up its attack on the BJP government over the alleged large-scale errors in school textbooks, questioning both the scope of the Crime Branch investigation and the delay in supplying corrected books to students.
Addressing a press conference at the party headquarters on Wednesday, BJD spokesperson and Media Coordinator Dr. Lenin Mohanty said the BJP had, for the first time, publicly admitted that the textbooks for Classes I to VIII contained errors.
Describing the acknowledgement as "belated," he said it vindicated the concerns raised by the Opposition and various sections of society over the past month.
