Bhubaneswar, June 29 -- The Opposition Biju Janata Dal (BJD) today demanded that School and Mass Education Minister Nityananda Gond resign within 48 hours over the large-scale errors detected in school textbooks for Classes I to VIII.
The party also sought recovery of the expenditure incurred on printing the defective books from those who are responsible. The regional party also pressed for immediate publication of the inquiry report and a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe into the alleged Rs 380-crore textbook publication scam.
