Bhubaneswar, Sept. 4 -- A day after the Centre announced the revision in the GST slab rates; the Opposition Biju Janata Dal (BJD) has voiced demand for complete GST exemption on kendu leaves and handloom products.

The regional party further pointed out that the new GST slabs could lead to a revenue loss ofaround Rs 1,000 crore per month for the Odisha government while insisting that the Centremust compensate for this loss.
