Bhubaneswar, July 10 -- The Biju Janata Dal (BJD) today demanded immediate legal action against the creator of an alleged AI-generated deepfake video targeting Leader of Opposition Naveen Patnaik and former 5T Chairman V.K. Pandian, while lodging an FIR at the Capital Police Station in Bhubaneswar.
The complaint, filed by the Biju Chhatra Janata Dal, alleged that an Instagram page named Social Talk, purportedly operated by one Preeti Prakash Nayak, uploaded the video on July 9. According to the First Informeion Report, the video contains AI-generated images and abusive and derogatory content intended to mislead the public and tarnish the reputation of the two BJD leaders.
